Set up in 2013 by brothers Mike R'01 and Mark Corbyn R'04, and run solo by Mark since Mike moved to Tokyo in 2018, The Adobros has been at the forefront of the new wave of Filipino food in the UK, garnering mentions in prestigious publications in both the UK and the Philippines, and receiving recognition from the Philippine embassy in the UK.
We have welcomed and fed thousands of guests, primarily at our smallscale Saturday supperclubs held in the intimate comforts of our home in southeast London, but also at larger pop-ups and residencies around town. Guests can expect a complimentary cocktail inspired by tropical flavours, followed up by a fantastic four course Filipino feast that showcases the best of our taste of the Philippines that we grew up with. We've been described as "a dinner party with friends you haven't met yet", and we think that describes us pretty well!
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have switched to becoming a mail-order business: first focusing on selling bibingka (coconut rice batter cakes baked in banana leaves that we usually sell at Christmas), and now launching home meal kits, to allow people to recreate The Adobros supper club experience at home.
