The sun may not have been shining, but there was a fair wind behind the OW 1st XI football team on 12th February 2023 for the annual match against the Old Gregorians (Downside Alumni) on the Worth Playing Fields. Harry Woodman F'10 captained the team to a remarkable 10-2 victory following a very busy and sometimes 'vocal' game!
Tommy Ferguson C'15 has to be man of the match having scored 5 of the 10 Worthian goals, 2 goals were courtesy of Theo Rivers F'11 (who was joined on the day by brothers Oli F'14 and Joseph F'10), another 2 thanks to Freddie Boag-Jones R'15, and then Will Mersh C'18 made it the nice round number!
Worth's Benedictine hospitality was on show with our slap-up post-match tea and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
