The World Cup may be over, but Old Worthians FC is already looking ahead to the new season in September.
What began in 2023 as a Monday night six-a-side team in Clapham has grown quickly. After winning the six-a-side league three times, we formed an 11-a-side team. In 2024/25, we joined the FA's Alumni Arthurian League by entering the David Woolcott Trophy, which we went on to win. In 2025/26, we entered the league proper in Division 5 and secured promotion to Division 4 at the first attempt.
We are proud of that progress, but our ambition goes beyond results. As we prepare for 2026/27 and another push for promotion, we want to build a lasting club around the team: one that gives Old Worthians a reliable and affordable way to keep playing, connects people across generations, supports its community on and off the pitch, and creates more ways for players, friends, families and supporters to get involved through training, match highlights and events.
To help us take those next steps while keeping football accessible, we are inviting the wider Worth community to be part of what comes next.
