The WOW (Women of Worth) team had enthusiasm, two babies, Miss Pearce and only six players on their side. The current school team had fitness, skill and sixteen players on theirs.

The first half was a real battle of wills and by half time it was 6-6. A surprising, but well celebrated result for the WOWs who would happily have called it a game then! Talent ultimately prevailed, and the current school team found their rhythm and competitive advantage in the second half, streaming ahead of the WOWs to end in an 18-8 win. A brilliant event with unexpected sunshine, lots of laughs and a good run around!

A big thank you to Nia Wells ’17, Charlie Beattie StC’23, Maddy Flint StC’23, Meggie Mcloughlin StA’23, and Anna Riley StM’22 for joining me in the team. We look forward to more players joining the ranks next year.
