Career Development |
In brief, Global Career Accelerators aim to bridge the gap between education and industry. There are so many factors that impact young people as they leave education and start looking for an entry point into their chosen career; from degree inflation to the burden of student debt, to their lack of up to date technical or soft skills.
We offer a virtual business environment where you will be challenged with real world issues and business situations on a daily basis. You will get to wrestle with everyday issues whether it be managing investment in a live portfolio, managing risk parameters across a portfolio, managing a team to deliver on time or designing an improved way of approaching trade flow and STP. You will experience an intense and pressured environment that deliberately takes you out of the comfortable 'student mindset' and helps you transition to a professional mindset.
Your engagement with us will be for 6 months and involves a full on role in the virtual company. So what is our differentiator? What do you get from us that you can't get at Uni or from an online course?
The answer is real world challenges provided by actual industry partners and daily contact both from the industry partners, from the GCA management team who impart wider skills such as team management, timekeeping or conflict management and across your own team members as you learn to navigate the real world business environment. In a nutshell you get to experience and test yourself against real world challenge in a sandbox environment where you can't blow up a real world business.
Are you up for the challenge?
My sons enjoyed their time at Worth tremendously and in recognition of that we offer Worthians a 10% discount.
