OW Football

Sunday 19th April 2026 saw a gloriously sunny day for our annual 1st XI football match against the School for the Henry Surtees Memorial Trophy. The School pitches were in great shape and, despite being a little thin on the OW player front (in large part down to Harry Woodman F'10 becoming a father over night!), the match itself was a very physical and entertaining contest.

The OW Team was captained by Ollie Rivers F'14 and supported with the sideline calls of Club Manager, Andy Taylor, but were unfortunately only able to score one goal (thanks to Will Neville-Smith StB'11) against a truly talented school team. The match ended with a 4-1 score to the School and the School Captain, Benji Norris, was delighted to accept the trophy from Henry Surtees' sister, Leonora Martell-Surtees who we were delighted to have joining us with her family for the afternoon.

Thank you to all the other OW players for taking part: Tom Bentley C'18, Tim Long B'11, Louis Montagnon C'25, Ryunosuke Sato StB'25, Rafe Collier, StB'25 & Josh Liddington StB'25.
