The School hosted its inaugural Model United Nations conference on 31st January 2026 and the day proved to be a huge success, including a fabulous opening ceremony speech from Toby Rumford R'95 about his work with NATO.
Toby, who had travelled from Brussels especially for the day, launched the conference with a fascinating speech about his civil service career path within the Ministry of Defence and now as past of the UK Delegation to NATO, followed by a question and answer session in the historic Whitehead Room.
Students from Worth and visiting schools, representing different counties, then spent the day in their various committees, which were hosted across the Worth campus, before returning to the Whitehead Room for a General Assembly Crisis Committee. Worth students did an outstanding job chairing the various committees and General Assembly, while other students from the School took part as delegates. The quality of debate and discussion from all students – visiting and students from Worth – was hugely impressive.
A huge thank you to Toby and congratulations to all students involved in the day.
