Worth is delighted to have been named as Boarding School of the Year at the Independent Schools of the Year awards.
There were more than 700 nominations for the Independent Schools of the Year awards and Worth was chosen by a distinguished panel of judges as Boarding School of the Year, with Head Master Mr Stuart McPherson receiving the award at a glitzy ceremony at The Law Society in London on 8th October.
In choosing Worth for this award, the judges considered the School’s strong pastoral care and spiritual grounding alongside academic excellence, our excellent facilities, endless opportunities and how our deeply embedded six values mark us out from other senior schools and go a long way in ensuring an academically strong, happy and healthy learning environment.
Other factors considered by the judges include our extensive weekends programme, which is open to day students as well, plus our phone-free structured days which allow distraction-free learning and relationship-building.
Mr McPherson said, “The judges were impressed particularly by the way our values are reflected in the boarding life of the School.”
This was the seventh year of the awards and the ceremony was attended by leading figures from across the education sector.
Huge congratulations to all the staff who play their part in making Worth the great school it is!
