Two of our most successful OW adventurers met up last month at the Scientific Exploration Society in London’s Chelsea. Dr Daniel Grace F’05 was invited to come to the Society to give a talk about the expedition he undertook last year where he followed in the footsteps of David Livingstone, exploring the challenges of accessing healthcare in Zambia and Malawi. Daniel has a wide medical portfolio - in addition to his day job as a GP, he's Medical Director with Virtual Doctors, the UKs leading international telemedicine charity, and has been a member of the World Extreme Medicine with whom he supported the filming of a major US TV series in the South Pacific.

The evening was hosted by the multi world record holder, Neil Laughton C’82.  Neil & Daniel were delighted to be joined by the eminent explorer, John Blashford-Snell CBE who, as well as founding the SES, set up the successful Operation Raleigh scheme which many OWs have gone on to volunteer with during their gap years.
