Memorial concert for the late Duchess of Kent

Following the death of Katharine, Duchess of Kent in September 2025, Future Talent, the charity she co-founded with Nick Robinson StB’75 will be honouring her memory with a special concert at 5pm on Sunday 27th September 2026 at Smith Square Hall, Westminster, London SW1P 3HA .

Hosted by Alexander Armstrong, the concert will feature a diverse selection of music performed by a variety of ensembles, and the Future Talent Orchestra, conducted by Simon Over. The programme has been shaped by the young musicians at the heart of Future Talent's work, in Katharineʼs honour, such as Alumni Sam Nutterʼs dynamic orchestral piece, Destinyʼs Journey conducted by Nick Robinson.

Having left Worth as a student, Nick Robinson returned in 1986 to spend 12 years as a teacher and housemaster, finally leaving to become Head Master at King’s College School in Cambridge. It was during his time there that he met the Duchess who shared his love of music. They went on to form Future Talent, a music charity that gives support and master classes, runs ensemble days and workshops and contributes to the cost of instruments for under-privileged children aged 6-18. From small beginnings the charity now supports over 100 musical children across the country.
