An update from Will Harries R'15 and his company Augment Bionics , the company he helped set up at Edinburgh University that is now printing 3D facial shields for the NHS. Thanks to the funding they have received through their Go Fund Me Page they have now delivered over 700 face shields to 15 different NHS locations across the country, which have been very gratefully received!

Having been featured on BBC and Sky News, they have now increased their capacity to 150 shields per day, have received positive feedback on their designs, and are confident in scaling up production further with plans to produce 1500+ face shields a day through injection moulding. But they need some help! They need to find facilities to carry out tool cutting and injection moulding (preferably in London); find a billet to make the mould; help with developing packaging facilities, transportation (a van or pick-up truck) and setting up a distribution network; and find a reliable source of transparent sheets.

If you might be able to help with any of these please email Will
