PM's Message to the Class of 2020

Boris Johnson has an important message for this year's school leavers

The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has given a virtual address to the Class of 2020 school leavers and said that your efforts and 'sacrifice' have helped save hundreds of thousands of lives amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Prime Minister said, “Your generation has come of age facing a challenge like no other generation before you".

He urges you to jump on every opportunity that comes your way and 'rugby tackle' it to the floor, as he predicts that you will become one of the most 'influential generations in the peacetime history of our nation' and 'vital' to the national effort to rebuild the country.
