Bring the family to enjoy the beauty of Worth

A walk to the Quiet Garden is part of the day

Come back to Worth Abbey on Saturday 1st June for an opportunity to enjoy the joy and beauty of 'The Old Place'. The day is being organised by Worth Abbey Pilgrims and starting at 11am there will be a series of walks around the estate as well as talks and prayers guided by members of the monastic community. The Retreat Centre will also be open for tours and information, and for music lovers there's also a planned join-in session on an introduction to Gregorian Chant. If there is enough interest there will also be a 'History of Paddockhurst' tour to see key parts of the main School building.

Being a family-focused event, there'll be plenty of activities for children including face-painting, parachute games and a craft tent with cake decorating. In Worth's true Benedictine tradition of hospitality, plenty of refreshments will be available or you can bring your own picnic to be enjoyed in the glorious surroundings.

You'll be able to spend time in the Abbey Church with Divine Office at 1pm, Benediction at 3:30pm followed by tea, and Mass at 5pm to close the proceedings.

Registration here would be helpful for planning purposes, although not essential. Just come along and enjoy what the day has to offer. Free parking will be available.
