The Royal Family thank Edinburgh University Alumni
The Royal Family thank Edinburgh University Alumni
We have had an exciting update from Will Harries R'15 whose company, Augment Bionics, he helped set up at Edinburgh University to produce 3D printed prosthetic arms and who have now turned their attention to producing facial shields for the NHS to help in the current crisis. With a switch this week to injection moulding they have been able to increase manufacture from 1,000 to 10,000 a week to deliver to hospitals across the country. But to top it all they have been thanked by her Majesty The Queen via the Royal Family Twitter Page who, having been a Chancellor of Edinburgh University for nearly 60 years, is very proud of what the University's alumni are doing to support the NHS. We are also very proud of Will - and also wish her Majesty a very happy birthday for today!
