Thursday 17th September was a big day for Michael Spencer B'73 who, having been nominated for a life peerage in the 2020 Political Honours List, was finally created Baron Spencer of Alresford.

Lord Spencer founded NEX Group (formerly ICAP), a UK-based business focused on electronic markets and post trade business which was acquired by CME Group in November 2018. He has been described as the richest self-made person in the City of London and as a 'City grandee'.

He has been a huge supporter of Worth and made a significant donation to the School last year for the building of a new Library and Sixth Form Centre for which construction started this week and which is due to open next autumn.

We send him our many congratulations.
